The Fighting System

In the Infinity Force RPG, the bot (Ultra-Bot) is equipped with a very unique battle system. Damage, as usual, is determined upon whether the Attacker is using a Regular attack, Weapon attack, Magic attack, a Special Attack, an EXTREME attack, or a Form attack.

Ultra-Bot has an attack system for what I call "Mech. Suits" (for more information on Mech. Suits, check out HD's Mech. Shop). It uses the same attack system as regularly, but Mech. Suits have different stats than the person and rely on their own equipment instead of the user's. Also, damage dealt to and received by a Mech. Suit is different than regular. The reason behind the new damage system for Mech. Suits is because of the Mech. Suits' size and power. Here's the way the new system works (for most types of attacks):

Another important thing about Mech. Suits is the MSU, which is the short name for the Mech. Suit/User Status FX Integration System.  This system is very different from what is typically seen.  With this system, the Status FX that are afflicting the user at the time when he/she activates the Mech. Suit will continue to afflict said user.  This includes things like Poison, Burnt, and even Doomed!  All Status FX that have counters will continue on until they finish or until the user deactivates the MS and has the Status FX removed.  This means that a player can die while inside his/her Mech. Suit, so be careful!  Mech. Suits do not protect against Status FX that are already affecting the character!  Keep note that magic will not affect the user inside the Mech. Suit and also know that items do not affect Mech. Suits either!

Something that all players should know about the attack system is when an attack would do zero damage. If the basic damage is zero, there will be no Critical Hits, no Elemental weakness/protection change, and no Mech. Suit damage change. In short, don't complain if you think you would have done more damage due to your Mech. Suit or the enemy's Elemental weakness.

A system that is integrated into the attack system and affects all types of attacks (except for a select few) is the “Real Percentage” Hit/Miss System (HMS).  The HMS is basically an advanced version of accuracy/evade.  The HMS uses two basic types of hit/miss: physical and special.  Each of those two has two pairs of stats that determine whether or not an attack hits a target or not: Speed/Evade and Accuracy/Block.  The first pair determines if the attack can hit the target initially while the second pair determines if the target can block the attack or not.

·        Speed – how well the attack can “catch” the target off-guard before the target can dodge

·        Evade – how well the target can dodge an attack

·        Accuracy – how well the attack can hit the target without being blocked or missing

·        Block – how well the target can block an attack

Besides the attack system, Ultra-Bot houses an ultra-unique Random Battle System. The RBS is a totally new system that causes random battles at unexpected times (out of session…for now)! The enemies that are present vary the average player level. Which means the higher the levels of the players present, the harder and more enemies there are.

Also, Ultra-Bot has a training system built into it. This is so players can gain Experience Points (XP) and Credits (money). Besides the training system, players can spar with each other to gain even more XP/Credits than they would normally during training. Of course, there are Special Training Levels which, under special conditions, players can gain access to and obtain vast amounts of XP and Credits!

One other unique feature in Ultra-Bot is the Multi-Status Change system. This was added to make the RPG more videogame-like. Of course, it does, yet it also can put a hamper on players! This means that Poison, Burnt, Amnesia, and various other status changes can affect a player at a single time! Of course, I would not want a player to fight without any chance, so players are able to buy status-restoring items in the Online Shop that is (you guessed it) built into Ultra-Bot.  Please take note that there is a total of 34 different status changes currently in UB!

An interesting piece of info that I can give is that Ultra-Bot does have cheats programmed into it! Of course, like a true programmer, I have hidden them well. As of now, there are some hidden cheats inside the bot. Two cheats assist you during battle, two cheats can help you defeat your enemies during battle, one cheat allows you to obtain items without having to pay for them (in other words, stealing), and the one cheat is hidden inside the computer data base inside Ultra-Bot. There are also some tricks that can be used during fights and out of battle, but you'll either have to find out for yourself or…

Last, with the Level Up system, Ultra-Bot keeps track of how much XP you obtain. Whenever you get enough XP, Ultra-Bot will say if you have enough. Ultra-Bot does the stat-gains automatically, so there is no need to worry. Also, with the new Level Up system (that was just added in about Aug. 2001), a player is able to have more "control" over his/her own stats during a level up. When a player creates a new character, the form has a Status section in it. This determines what stats the character will excel in and be weak in for both starting for level ups. However, if a player is an apprentice under one of the Masters, his/her choices for stat gains will not affect the level up. Instead, the player's stats will go up only according to that Master's level up stats.

Well, that's all for now. All other info will be added later.

A bot is used during battle and sessions. The bot's nick is Ultra-Bot. Please do not abuse the privilege of having a bot in the channel!
